20-Minute Resistance Band Workout at Home (Beginner-Friendly)
Loop resistance bands are one of the cheapest and most versatile pieces of training gear you can own. They fit in a drawer, work every major muscle group and let you train anywhere. Here's a simple 20-minute routine for beginners.
What you need
A set of loop bands with different resistance levels. Lighter bands for upper body and warm-ups, heavier bands for legs and glutes. Our Resistance Loop Band Set includes 5 levels, from extra light (green) to extra heavy (black), for $24.99.

Warm-up (3 minutes)
30 seconds marching in place
30 seconds arm circles
1 minute bodyweight squats
1 minute light-band lateral walks (band just above the knees)
The workout (15 minutes)
Do each exercise for 40 seconds, rest 20 seconds, then move to the next. Complete the circuit 3 times.
Banded squat – band above the knees, push the knees outward as you squat.
Glute bridge – lie on your back, band above the knees, drive the hips up and squeeze at the top.
Standing row – step on the middle of a band, hinge slightly forward and pull your hands to your ribs.
Lateral walk – band around the ankles or above the knees, take 10 steps each way staying low.
Band pull-apart – hold a light band at shoulder height and pull it apart until it touches your chest.
Cool-down (2 minutes)
Stretch your quads, hamstrings, chest and shoulders for about 20 seconds each.
How to progress
Week 1–2: light and medium bands, 3 rounds.
Week 3–4: move up one band level on squats and bridges.
Week 5+: add a 4th round or increase work time to 45 seconds.
Tips for safe band training
Check your bands for small tears before each workout.
Control the movement in both directions; don't let the band snap back.
Contains latex: skip natural latex bands if you're allergic.
If you have an injury or a health condition, talk to a professional before starting a new program.
